Effortlessly Modern Wedding at the Santa Monica Proper

What better spot for two architects to marry other than a world class boutique hotel…

There was no better spot for Meeghan and Justin to marry than the Santa Monica Proper in Southern California on a brisk, October day. Designed by interior designer, Kelly Wearstler, the proper features incredible and inspirational interior design. It’s not your typical hotel… not even close. As you go through this blog, you’ll see how intentional and unique the design of the hotel is - it was truly unbelievable. Meeghan’s personal style from her dress, hair, jewelry to choice of floral design felt timeless, romantic and could fit any “season” of style.

Design aside, Meeghan and Justin intertwined their Korean heritage with their modern wedding. It felt effortless and sweet from a first look to having a focus on portraits. They decided to skip having a formal wedding party and keep to just spending time together. With extra kind family members and hilarious friends their wedding was not short of smiles and happy tears.

Below are a mixture of 35mm film and digital photographs.
