Coastal Boston Engagement - Sara + Dan
July turned out to be a lot busier than I originally expected, so after Sara and Dan booked me and told me they wanted their engagement photos by the beginning of August. We made it happen. Even if that meant me traveling to Boston for a day and a half and Sara + Dan waking up at 4 am on a Monday before work. Absolute troopers! Fort Sewall ended up as our sweet sunrise spot with it’s New England charm. It’s a historic coastal fortification that sits right next to a little cove filled with wooden neighborhood dingys -a dream!
As much as I am a golden sun lover, I ended up loving the thick fog. It made for a good contrast with Sara and Dan’s joking + laughter. We had so much fun and seriously, who looks as good as they do at 5 am??
The sun never did poke through the clouds so we ended up planning the second part of our shoot (for my own golden sun cravings) in an industrial neighborhood right outside of Downtown Boston. So after Sara and Dan had a full day of work, we drove to that side of town ran around (possibly trespassed a bit) to get a good view of the sun setting over Downtown Boston. We finished the whole day by rewarding ourselves with some good ole Italian food (mostly from-scratch pasta) at Italian Express Pizzeria. The spot was featured on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and honestly, we couldn’t have ended the day better.
